Introducing my story.
About Sara
My story is a similar one to many. It was a cold, dark and damp January morning in 2018, I was sitting in my car, about to board a train and head into London for work, when I had a moment of clarity. I felt drained, tired and overwhelmed with stress from a job that had taken over all of my waking thoughts, but most importantly, I barely moved all day, sat at my desk hunched over my keyboard. Something had to change.
At that time, I was passionate about instructing Spinning classes, but I was only able to fit in teaching one class a week. I loved seeing everyone leave the class smiling and sweaty, knowing they had started their weekend by doing something they loved. What I realised was, that one spinning class was the highlight of my week and that my work-life balance was all wrong.
I handed in my notice the next day and started researching personal training courses to add to my existing fitness qualification. I have not looked back. When I set out to become a fitness professional, I knew I wanted to help people to fall in love with exercise, for themselves, not just to lose weight.
Today, I am so pleased I made the transition. I love working with clients who are short on time or motivation to make it to the gym to work on their own; it is what gets me up and out of bed in the morning (sometimes quite early)! My favourite part of my job is seeing people smile at the end of a tough workout session, knowing they gave it their all that day.

Brand Story
As someone that has had a preoccupation over the last 20 years with how I look and how much I weigh, I get it. I understand the desire to lose ‘just a few pounds’. The hours I have wasted worrying whether my legs look fat, or wishing if only my stomach was a bit flatter. I have had many conversations with myself around - if only that bit looked a bit better or if ‘only I had her legs' . . . . then I’ll be happy. I have used exercise as a punishment for eating that bar of chocolate or trying to out-exercise what I’ve eaten, that I think I shouldn’t. Exercise and movement are about so much more!
During the first lockdown in 2020, I started listening to a podcast called Train Happy and it was during the second or third episode that it all clicked for me. Fitness and health have nothing to do with body shape. There is a movement of other trainers out there that have similar values to me, helping people get fitter and stronger doesn’t have to be about helping clients get slimmer or in-shape. It can purely be about them moving and being physically and mentally stronger and fit for life.
I am reprogramming what fitness can be about. If we can deprioritise weight loss and see exercise for everything it can be as a way to help manage our mental health, a way to have higher energy levels, a way to sleep better, a way to make friends, to have a laugh and a way to feel great about ourselves.
I want to help you find your most positive why. I would like to work with you so that you fall in love with exercise. I can show you that movement and exercise is about so much more than just weight loss or management.
